Job Summary
Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the HIV/TB work plan in the Cluster districts under Baylor Foundation Uganda as the Sub-recipient (SR) of the GC7 grant.
Overall Responsibilities
Coordinate the implementation of the HIV/TB work plan in the Cluster districts and monitor performance against the set targets.
Initiate and monitor the procurement plan, distribution, and utilization of all supplies for the TB/HIV project in line with the Global Fund policy guidance.
Develop, disseminate, and track periodic work plans (annual and quarterly) for the implementation of the DREAMS project activities in the SNU.
Build the capacity of Prevention Officers, Prevention Assistants in the Cluster districts, and other community stakeholders to deliver comprehensive HIV prevention services to adolescents and other priority populations in the Cluster districts through training and mentorship.
Implement a quality assurance plan that ensures the delivery of a comprehensive and impactful HIV prevention program in alignment with the implementation plan.
Prepare and provide timely periodic performance progress reports on the HIV/TB project for the Global Fund/TASO grant.
Provide leadership to the Cluster project team that ensures timely staff recruitment, retention, and performance through timely performance appraisals, coaching, and professional development in line with organizational policy.
Develop and maintain effective corporate, government, and community partnerships while strengthening community engagement in HIV prevention.
Monitor resources for the project as per donor and Baylor Uganda standards, addressing poor performance early to maintain the required progress for the project.
Ensure that communication with internal and external stakeholders is conducted in a highly professional and timely manner at all times.
Required Qualification, Experience, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and/or a health-related discipline.
- At least two years’ work experience implementing AGYW/ABYM or DREAMS Initiatives is an added advantage.
