Your mission at Sistema.bio:

The role will support Finance and Operations in ensuring an effective and efficient environment for the program in Uganda. This is inclusive but not limited to maintaining comprehensive and accurate records and logistical and administrative support as required. This position will work closely with the team in Uganda under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Associate.


You’ll be in charge of:

  • Implementing daily administrative processes and procedures to ensure business efficiency.
  • Ensuring procurement and logistics process optimization for the Uganda program.
  • Providing fleet operations management and support to the team.
  • Performing administrative and procurement activities in a timely and efficient manner to support the team in the acquisition of goods and services for smooth field operations.
  • Supporting the daily office operations and program activities.
  • Participating in month-end activities and ensuring all transactions are recorded by the last day of every month.
  • Safeguarding and maintaining an updated register of all the company assets in Uganda.
  • Receiving, recording, and verifying all invoices,  and supporting documentation from staff or partners for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the finance and procurement regulations.
  • Ensuring timely and effective support of finance operations through maintaining accurate financial records and performing financial procedures as required.


More about YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of progressive experience in operations, administration, finance, information technology, and procurement-related areas.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly proficiency in Ms Excel and G-suite.
  • Ability to work with a multicultural team.
