Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Implementation
• Familiarize with the new concepts and approach of the LIFT to ensure project implementation aligns with the objectives of LIFT.
• Work with the Project Assistants-Child Wellbeing (6-12 years) and LIFT Facilitators (Volunteers) to develop schedules for daily, weekly, and special event activities for children (6-12 years old), their caregivers and community members under the LIFT project in all the LIFT centers.
• Ensure that activities/services are delivered on time, on budget and in compliance with donor regulations.
• Coordinate with other Project Officers-Child Wellbeing (0-6 years, 12-17 years and Caregivers Group) to ensure linkage between activities and implementation of intergenerational activities across age groups.
• Support the LIFT Project Manager to develop work plans and follow up with field teams regularly to ensure that activities are on track and the approaches are in line with the LIFT framework.
• Ensure that children and their caregivers and target community members are engaged in and actively contribute to the project implementation, through effective mobilization, relationship building and outreach strategies. Consider participants as partners instead of beneficiaries.
• Provide regular operations and implementation updates on project progress and challenges to allow for timely interventions and corrective actions by management and WV Global team.
• Ensure that project interventions are effectively documented before, during and after the activities.
• Ensure effective referral pathways are in place for appropriate responses and follow-up for children who require specialized and other services.
• Ensure regular communication with the Technical Leads to integrate appropriate technical priorities in programme design/implementation.
Assessment, Monitoring and Reporting
• When necessary, contribute to relevant assessments and data collection of WV or inter-agency in the project locations, guided by MEAL and/or the Technical team.
• Regularly identify and analyse the needs, priorities and gaps for the support and activities targeting children 6-12 years old and their caregivers in project locations.
• Support the LIFT Project Manager to prepare timely and high quality monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with reporting schedules and formats/guidelines.
• Conduct periodic review meetings with the project team to identify bottlenecks and discuss the ways to address those bottlenecks.
• Participate and provide inputs to the Action Learning of the LIFT pilot project and ensure Project Assistants and LIFT Facilitators completed the Action Learning forms based on agreed timeframe.
• Support the MEAL team to use the specific M&E tools to monitor project progress and results based on the indicators and means of verification defined in the LIFT project.
• Work with the MEAL team to set up child/gender friendly accountability mechanisms which facilitate boys, girls and other marginalized groups to report their feedback and complaints.
• Monitor and identify potential risks and threats to the ‘LIFT’ centre activities and alert management timely for appropriate action.
• Contribute to any related research, case studies, learning reviews and publications for WV as relevant.
• Document success stories/ stories of impact and ensure information is collected for marketing and communication products.
Capacity Building
• Acquire skills and knowledge to implement integrated programme to achieve child wellbeing outcomes across the priority sectors in the LIFT.
• Identify and share the capacity building needs for Project Assistants and LIFT Facilitators with the Project Manager and Technical leads.
• Supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, providing regular and timely performance feedback, and providing documented performance reviews.
• Attend internal and external trainings on related topics that promote child wellbeing and child development for children of 6-12 years old and engagement with their caregivers.
Networking & External Engagement
• When appropriate, represent WV in relevant working group fora such as CP/GBV Working Group, MHPSS Working Group, Education Working Group, settlement coordination meetings and any other meetings.
• Participate in internal meetings and coordinate with other programme/sector teams, such as the weekly coordination call on the LIFT pilot project with the National team, the Global Technical team and/or WV Support Office to review progress and learning.
• Establish strong relationships with local key stakeholders and community structures to facilitate the project acceptance and ownership.
• Promote and share learning of the LIFT Pilot Project with key stakeholders internally and externally, when requested.
• Establish and liaise closely with other partners, agencies, and local leaders regarding project activities to ensure and promote a coordinated approach to project implementation, including participation in relevant workshops, meetings and to keep the LIFT team informed.
