World Vision Uganda (WVU) is a Christian relief, development, and advocacy non-government organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We currently work in 43 districts and have 48 Area Programmes implementing projects in health & nutrition, water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), livelihoods & resilience, education, and child protection. World Vision (WV) is committed to the protection of children and adult beneficiaries from exploitation and abuse and will not employ people whose background is not suitable for working with these beneficiaries. Position: Governance and Social Accountability Coordinator
Report to: Associate Director, Advocacy
Location: Kampala

Purpose of the position:
To strengthen World Vision Uganda’s Local Governance and Social Accountability Programmes through strategic guidance to relevant teams, capacity strengthening, resource mobilization efforts, evidence-based advocacy, partnership, and networking. The job holder will provide technical support and guidance to the Clusters/Area Programmes in the different regions to effectively utilize the Citizen Voice and Action Social Accountability Approach for improved service delivery in WVU areas of operation. Working closely with relevant teams and partners, the job holder shall provide strategic direction on strengthening social service delivery and accountability through the utilization of citizen-generated data to inform WVU’s policy positions at the local district and national level
