General Position Summary:
The ICT and Innovations Officer is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology systems, ensuring they are up to date and operating efficiently. Additionally, they play a key role in driving innovation initiatives to improve processes and enhance the organization's technological capabilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities

ICT Management:

  • Manage and maintain the organization's ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
  • Monitor and ensure the security of data and systems, implementing cybersecurity measures to protect against threats.
  • Provide technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
  • Oversee software and hardware upgrades and installations.

Innovation Strategy:

  • Develop and implement an innovation strategy to identify opportunities for technological advancements within the organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their needs and challenges, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technology trends and recommend their integration where applicable.

Digital Transformation:

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to streamline and modernize organizational processes.
  • Identify and implement digital tools and technologies that enhance operational efficiency.

Project Management:

  • Manage ICT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and support to staff members to ensure they are proficient in using ICT tools and systems.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the organization.

Data Management:

  • Oversee data management practices, including data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in ICT management and innovation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ICT systems, hardware, software, and networks.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology trends and their potential applications.
  • Must possess a Valid Riding Permit.
