General Position Summary:
The ICT and Innovations Officer is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology systems, ensuring they are up to date and operating efficiently. Additionally, they play a key role in driving innovation initiatives to improve processes and enhance the organization's technological capabilities.
Essential Job Responsibilities
ICT Management:
- Manage and maintain the organization's ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Monitor and ensure the security of data and systems, implementing cybersecurity measures to protect against threats.
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- Oversee software and hardware upgrades and installations.
Innovation Strategy:
- Develop and implement an innovation strategy to identify opportunities for technological advancements within the organization.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their needs and challenges, and propose innovative solutions.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology trends and recommend their integration where applicable.
Digital Transformation:
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to streamline and modernize organizational processes.
- Identify and implement digital tools and technologies that enhance operational efficiency.
Project Management:
- Manage ICT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to staff members to ensure they are proficient in using ICT tools and systems.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the organization.
Data Management:
- Oversee data management practices, including data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ICT management and innovation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ICT systems, hardware, software, and networks.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
- Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with emerging technology trends and their potential applications.
- Must possess a Valid Riding Permit.
