What you will do
We are seeking a skilled Credit Assessment Officer to evaluate, and recommend approval or rejection of loan applications for customers or businesses. As an assessment officer, you will play a crucial role in helping qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.
What you will do
• Conduct financial capacity checks
• Verify customer references through calls
• Conduct KYB (Know Your Business) calls for customers
• Review loan requests and assess clients' financial status
• Evaluate creditworthiness and risks associated with loan requests
• Contact clients to gather financial data and required documentation
• Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests
• Calculate financial ratios, such as credit scores and interest rates
• Maintain updated records of loan applications
• Follow up with clients about loan renewals
Who you are
• Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or in a similar role for at least 2-3 years of experience
• Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products
• Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets
• Strong analytical skills
• Customer service experience
• BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics or a related field
• Attention to details
• Strong communication skills
