Job Details:

• 6 years’ experience with at least three years at Senior Officer level.

Qualifications:
• An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration (Finance/Accounting options), BSc (Accounting Option) or any other relevant field.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
• Professional qualification in Accounting – ACCA, CPA is a MUST.
• Registered member of ICPAU.
• Working experience with Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) is a MUST.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the preparation of annual budget projections in liaison with the Heads of Departments.
• Prepare budget supporting schedules and annual budget report.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly budget performance analysis and submit reports (forecasts, projections, trends, revenue and cost analyses).
• Review, and regularly update the Bureau’s financial policies and procedures manuals.
• Review and update regularly financial internal controls and ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement a fixed assets management plan.
• Manage the assets and inventory register and ensure regular updates, and reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Support the annual Board of Survey on the Bureau’s assets and inventories and storage facilities.
• Review submission of Salary and allowances, statutory returns/payments including NSSF, PAYE, VAT and ensure timely payments.
• Compile and prepare financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and Accounting General instructions
• Coordinate external audits and ensure availability of all information required.
• Coordinate the development of the department’s annual budget, work plan, procurement plan, and training plan.
• Supervise staff in the department, conduct performance appraisals and identify training and development needs
• Prepare and submit timely accountability for resources.
• Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
