Job Details:

The Banana Industrial Research and Development Centre (BIRDC) exists to provide a state-of-the-Art banana processing enterprise in Uganda. BIRDC is the successor entity of the Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) Project.

Banana Industrial Research Development Centre (BIRDC) is seeking for a highly motivated and result-driven Sales Agent, you will be responsible for generating new leads and converting them into sales. You will be working with a wide range of customers, from small business owners to large corporations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and generate new sales leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
• Negotiate and close deals with customers to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities
• Provide regular reports on sales activities and progress to management

Terms of reference
1. Develop and execute sales and marketing programs to achieve set objectives.
2. Achievement of revenue targets in the assigned area as per the company's business plan.
3. Effective implementation of a distribution strategy to ensure continuous deeper market penetration.
4. Participate in identification of strategically beneficial business opportunities in the market place.
5. Analysis of market trends and competitor information.
6. Identify and propose new business ideas that could promote the company's image.
7. Monitor and evaluate sales promotions to ensure objectives are met.
8. Prepare accurate and timely daily, quarterly, weekly and monthly performance reports.
9. Participate in the procurement, control and distribution of promotional materials.
